Hi there and a Happy Tuesday to you! I am a little late, but wanted to share the card I made for Sunday's Power Poppy Blog Hop. If you haven't checked it out yet, you really should! Plus, all of the stamps for the new release are now on sale! For my card, I used the gorgeous stamp set Lavender. I did a little technique for the image that is new to me...not sure if it has a name but basically I wiped off some of the ink from my stamp before stamping to give me a little faded area to stamp my sentiment. I love how it turned it out and now it will be a battle to not do this on all of my cards...LOL! Everything in moderation, right? ;) So, my card is pretty straightforward with some simple layers and a bit of dry embossing and stitching. You can see more photos and details on my blog. I have to say, I LOVE this set....I can see using this for many occasions. So, that is all for my card today. Thank you so much for taking a peek and I hope you have an awesome day!

Oh, yes, Katie, this is a peaceful card! I love how you've faded out the lavender image for the sentiment! Definitely soft and delicate, and I love the texture and gingham ribbon! Another beauty, my sweet friend! Hugs!

Katie, this is a really beautiful card! I love the technique that you described. I never thought to do that but I might just try it myself I also like the shading you created in the corner.

Katie, I have some lavender blooming right now and you nailed its coloration....especially the silver gray green of the foliage. Beautiful card.....and your enticing me to another Power Poppy set. : )

Katie girl, I think I left a comment on your blog for this card, but, forgot to leave some card love here. Flowers (especially lavender), music, and a muted, soft and delicate card that I can almost feel between my fingers - oh how I love this card! Using the Iced Spruce distress ink was such a wonderful contrast to the lavender - it really brings that image front and center. Honestly, I feel like I can feel that crisp ribbon too. Do you think I love everything about this card? YES I DO!! : )
