It's Teapot Tuesday's 300th challenge, and it's Tickle a Teapotter week, when we send our cards to each other. The challenge this week is to help decorate a Teapotters' Lounge in our mythical Teapotterville.
In honor of our 300th challenge, I tried to step up my game with a side stairstep card. I have even more respect for Susie Australia's awesome cards after trying this.
I started by covering the "walls" with a dp that looked like wallpaper. I created a little "outdoor" scene with watercolors and placed it behind the window die (an RAK from Susie Australia) and added a lace valance.
I added some woodgrain paper to the steps to give us hardwood floors. The urn is stamped on copper paper and cut out; the plant is a die-cut that was cut in two and artfully arranged. The only chair stamp I have is an Adirondak chair, which didn't seem appropriate, so I found some line art online and paper-pieced the wing chair.

I love the view out our window - and that big pot plant. The paper-pieced chair looks pretty comfortable too. The side-step worked wonderfully for you to show both the view and the room!
I must admit that I personally find all the stair step formats hard to work with. Finally after much practice I might find the centre step a bit easier, but it's not something that comes easy. Susie does wonders with them!!

Sandy this is brilliant. I love every thing about it my friend, especially how you captured the inside and outside view of our new tea rooms. Great card to go with a great story. Happy 300th. xx

What a awesome job...way to go girl....so glad you got out of the box...a lot of work but well worth it....this scene is so neat. I can hear the little birds outside and have my kettle boiling for a fine cup of tea for on the comfy looking chair and a super green plant which I recomend keeping away from my area as I tend to kill with kindness..;0)...no great job...TFS..:0)
