Brianna, 11, drew this turtle for me. I started coloring a few days ago but it wasn't until I saw this image that I got the idea for his shell. The image was originally on notebook paper. After scanning and coloring I used the wrinkle free distress technique with greens and browns to create a mottled colored paper. A separate print was used for the shell. I reprinted the turtle a third time on the colored paper and cut out all the bitty squares. Covered the entire shell with glossy accents, cut it out and adhered to the colored drawing. Thanks for a fun challenge Audrie! And thanks for stopping by.

I love the way the turtle shell turned out and Brianna has a future drawing images for crafters! I love how you framed him and the bit of stitiching adds just the right touch!
