I had so much fun with these challenges! I took a different approach to the create your own stamp. 11 year old Brianna draws constantly. I was particularly impressed with the expression and detail she uses in her critters' eyes including the highlights. She loves drawing imaginary critters. She gave me this sketch of a parrot drawn in pencil on typing paper. I scanned it, resized it and made myself a digital stamp. The artwork is all hers as she drew it. He is colored with copics and pencils Background is done with distress inks and water. A stencil was used on portions of it. I used a piece of splicing thread from lacing rugs and died it in distress reinker. How neat that I now have a source of original, digital stamps! Thank you Brianna Stislow!

WOW...an 11-yr old did this! She obviously has talent and I'm sure that you are nurturing it, Nancy. Your card with her artwork is FANTASTIC and a delight for the eyes. The soft distressing and subtle pattern add to your design, but don't detract...which is ideal, IMO. Pass my praise on to Brianna.

Omgosh, Brianna's parrot drawing is amazing, as is your coloring. Love how your kept the BG somewhat subdued as to keep the focus on this beautiful bird. A wonderful card.
