Yabbadodo aka Faith has ended our Teapotters year with a great story about Trudy and Moody and their new yearÂ’s resolutions. Our challenge is to bring our new year resolutions to life, and have fun doing it.
In any language fun means happy dancing, so here we have Trudy doinÂ’ the happy dance. Thanks to so many SCS ladies, especially my sisters of the traveling teapotters, I have learnt the happy dance and my heart swells with happiness every Tuesday (actually it is Wednesday my time, but Teapot Wednesday just sounds silly).
My new yearÂ’s resolution is to learn to embrace Mixed Media. Here we have little Moody reading the SCS Mixed Media manual. There is a blackboard behind the double window that lists the materials required for classes that are held each Friday. The little building on the back step has a sign that says Mixed Media School. I found this card hard to photograph, it doesnÂ’t look like it but there are two sets of steps.
I glued little happy dancinÂ’ Trudy to the fence on the second step, I went and made a coffee and returned to find Trudy body-slamming the front fence!! I carefully removed her crumpled body and the fence, stuck the fence to acetate and then super-glued Trudy to the fence and acetate. Unfortunately the super-glue oozed out of the tube onto my desk. Currently my favourite scissors are firmly stuck to my craft mat. On a positive note, no Sassy Cheryl digi images or even myself, were injured in the creation of this card.
I had another new years resolutionÂ…..trim down a bit but then I had a brain wave and decided it would be easier to go up one dress size. Thinking this through, if I purchased clothes two sizes too big, it will actually look like I have lost weight. Job done!!.
I wish you all a happy and healthy new year and thank you for your kindness and friendship. Big hugs, Susie xxx

Happy New Year Susie - and thanks for the giggles reading your details! Priscilla is going to be beside herself seeing this, you've got her hooked on step cards now! This is a gorgeous story card, and your fellow teapotters will love it.

Trudy and Moody are adorable! I love the whole idea of this learning something new, it will be a pleasure to see what you create with the Mixed Media! I love how you have detailed the book Moody is reading and how you have your initials on the bottom of her shoes!
Now about this trimming down, you discovered my secret, though I still go off to the gym 4 days a week! I'm headed there this morning, care to join me?!

Great resolution, great card depicting it! Love the weathered wood and your gals. And of course every design element you have on it! Your stories are so funny and this one made me laugh throughout. Glad you nor the girls (take that anyway you like--heeee) sustained any injuries this week. BUT ... your poor scissors and mat ... oh, no! Maybe you can use your heat tool to soften the glue to separate and clean them? Be careful w/the heat gun. The happiest of happy new year's to you, my sistah and friend. XX

Suzie this is absolutely astonishing! This is exactly the type of paper crafting I love to do! I have never even thought about attempting something so intense with so many steps but you motivate me to try!

Happy New Year my dear. Susie, still smiling after reading your story and was so glad to hear the desk and scissors are the only things to get harmed in making your great card. LOL Love your images as well as all the extra elements you added as you went along. A super duper card!!!!
