Joan had a fun technique for us to try out this week ~ Stamp on the Sticky Stuff.
With a day off today I was able to make time to try it out, and I love the texture it added to my base layer!
I used some old Basic Grey solid colour paper for my base, and added the Glossy Accents with a couple of drops of water and spread it over the paper. After letting it get tacky I stamped the HA scroll into it.
Off to make my sketch card, and by the time I'd done that I was able to finish this off. Rather than ink I actually used metallic luster rub-ons. Then I just found some diecut flowers and a flourish in my scrap box. I heated the brad for the centre and added EP to give it a more vintage look - it started out white. Also for the vintage look I added some black embossing and some gold Stickles round the edges. Looking at it uploaded, I might try to add a bit of black ribbon or something under the flower, or a scrap of lace. I feel it needs something, but on the other hand when I've used a fun technique for a background I hate to cover too much of it up.
Thanks, Joan - definitely trying this again!!

Have not visited your gallery in a while, Sabrina! This artsy beauty really caught my eye! I don't think it needs a thing! That flower is wonderful and why would you want to cover up that great BG? The gold around the edges is the perfect touch.
