This is for Lydia's second DTGD challenge.
I was hoping there would be one somewhere along the way which would work for my MIL's birthday in a couple of weeks, and I think this is it.
A2 base. I used some paper I had made for an earlier card with Cover-A-Card Swirl Lace - I knew it would be useful if I kept it to hand. For the top of the card I did some wrinkle-free distress, stamped Very Vintage on it with Smokey Grey, and then sponged over it in places with mesh and Tea Dye. Edges sponged with Walnut Stain, stitched, lace added and that was my base.
The flowers are TH Tattered Florals and a Sizzix die cut from white card and sponged with Victorian Velvet and Dried Marigold. Then they were stamped with En Francais in the same colours, just to add a little depth. Centres were punched from sheet music, sponged, coated with Glossy Accents and very lightly sprinkled with gold glitter. Butterfly was cut from some unstamped wrinkle-free distress from the top panel, and embossed with Iridescent Ice. Body has Verdigris ep and a gold leafing pen. I added some flourishes cut from matt gold card and a couple of pearls just for run. Some of the flowers are popped/layered with dimensionals.
