Today's Teapotter challenge is to make a farm-theme card using farm animals such as hogs or Harleys (motorcycles.) I chose to combine the farm and motorcycles, with a light-hearted sentiment to hopefully bring a smile and chuckle to our recipient, Jesse.
Jesse was referred to the Teapotters for a Teaparty by his friend, stamp300. He sounds like a sweet, kind man. Sadly, his cancer has metastasized, spreading throughout his body. Unfortunately, he was unable to tolerate chemo so he is now living day-to-day, enjoying life inasmuch as he possibly can. He has or will soon have an operation which will hopefully eradicate cancer from one area of his body.
Jesse owns a shop in N.C., USA, where he custom builds and sells motorcycles, a few of which he has generously donated to his church. He also has a big farm with many animals. He has had the foresight to sell some of his horses due to the uncertain times ahead. We hope our expressions of encouragement and hope, along with prayers, will bless his life.
THANKS for looking at my card today!
How I made my card:
I inked the green/blue grass. I stamped the clouds and then inked the blue sky around them. I added the strip of floral paper. I stamped and cut out three motorcycles. I die cut five cornstalks out of two different papers. I computer generated the sentiment and die cut the frame. I put it together on a kraft base, adding three wraps of natural brown twine. May not look like it but it took me, the slow-poke I am, two hrs to create. Well worth my time if it will bring Jesse a smile!
Stamps: JRL Designs, Victorine, Paper Smooches (Used three stamps to put together the words inside: "Sending hugs and prayers, God bless")
Paper: MFT, Reflections, Prima, Webster's Pages, SU
Ink: Hero Arts, SU pads and marker, Versafine (inside)
Accessories: MFT die, PTI die + twine, Tim Holtz scissors for fussy cutting, SU sponge, Zig glue pen, Scor-tape, computer generated front-of-card sentiment
