SweetStamps technique challenge for May is a flip flop card and this is my submission. To make my rectangle cut out I used a Spellbinder Nestabilities: I positioned the die onto the cardstock and placed only the section I want to cut onto the machineÂ’s plate letting the remainder hang over the edge then repeated for the opposite side.
I used the newly released dies from SweetStamps for this card and I did an inlay technique which IÂ’ll explain. The dies cut as an outline so I cut one in light grey and a second one in white but before taking it out of the die I placed an adhesive tape on the back to hold them all together, pulled them out of the die and colored with Copic markers being careful to keep the tip off the adhesive. Once colored I placed them in the die cut outline and the adhesive will hold it all together to be placed on the card. I did have one or two that didnÂ’t cooperate and had to be placed in as a single piece but not a big deal.
Diamond Stickles were added to the flower center and I popped up the flower with foam squares. The leaves were attached with a combo of double sided adhesive and tacky glue.
The pearls were attached with AleeneÂ’s Paper Glaze.
