Today's ways to use it challenge is to "discover it" and use a new technique or something new. I am trying out the pencil resist technique as I'd just picked up some fun stencils yesterday. My 10yoDD was excited to see the leopard print so I thought I'd try to make her Bday card ahead, but now that I'm done, it really doesn't say "Ella" to me! At any rate I had fun with the technique and got to play with some new toys. I used my stencil and some school-room colored pencils to fill in the black spots (I used a bit of brown too). I then sponged More Mustard and some Cajun Craze over this. I then wiped off any ink that was over the pencil. I had a die and stamp set from The Cat's Pajamas that I won during one of the company sponspored challenges here (can't remember which one!) I die cut my gold piece and stamped in Versafine and embossed in Black detail ep. I layered this over a black piece then rounded the corners (oops-used the bigger of my rounders by mistake) then layered onto a Labels 9 gold piece that I also embossed. I added some gem flourishes and gems as well as a tiny black metal charm from a bracelet. I layered the gold mesh over my pleated black satin. I put a base of SU dp onto Black.

I almost tried that technique today. I like your leopard resist...great mix of patterns and fun embellishments on this....I'm sure you'll find just the right person to give it to. Glad you had fun playing with new toys today

Ha - at least you had a stencil that was going to work with pencil resist! I think I'll be getting a couple more some time. Your leopard skin certainly looks great, and the mesh is a perfect accompaniment.
