For her VSN challenge Marg (Margscardcrazy) asked us to make a bright dog days of summer Christmas card without snow; for dessert we could add glitter.
The nativity scene is one large stamp. All I added was a suggestion of grass at the bottom. After stamping the image, I used lots of colors to sponge a hot, bright sky, and a few more colors to sponge the dirt in the foreground (SU and Tim Holtz distress inks). I used gold Stickles on the star and a yellow gel pen for the Christ child's halo. I used a white gel pen to doodle the caps of the sentiment. Despite the number of inks used to sponge this scene, it didn't take more than 25-30 minutes to make the first one. (But you should have seen the messy table when I finished!)
I made 7 more of these to complete my goal for my April CCC13 cards.

Just going back thru some older VSN challenges and I came across these in the thumbnail and I had to have a closer look. These are just lovely. I like the glow of the colours.
