For this week's teaparty we were to go outdoors. No camping for me....loathe it!!!! But a nice cabin in the woods or on a lake is perfect I stamped my image on very vanilla with Distress Walnut Stain ink. I then sponged Distress Old Paper ink over the image and ever so lightly sponged walnut stain ink on too. I then cut and embossed my frame using square lattice folder in soft suede and sponged the edge of my oval with walnut stain ink. All of that was layered on my sahara sand card base. I'm not sure the picture really does it justice, but IRL if looks aged and distressed. It is off to Missouri this week. TFL!

From where I sit it looks aged and distressed. I'm with you on the camping! I loathe it.....from the sleeping on tree roots to the cold showers, from the worry of bears to the discomfort of mosquitoes. Give me a hotel or mountain lodge any day.

LOVE this Stampscape and I sure wish that cabin could be one of my IRL "happy places!"Good job on your monochromatic card. Like the emb bkgrd, obviously the stamp, and the distressing. I believe David will like this card.

BEAUTIFUL.....The cameras NEVER do the artwork justice...but you can see it quite well here...love how pretty it is but so simp;le too....perfect guy card. I LOVE camping, I dont mind the tents, but do prefer a small simple cabin. table and a couple beds...thats it....that way still basic but if that bear comes,,,,he has to chew through that door, before me...:0)....and a littel dryer too....TFs..:0)

how lovely...love the monochromatic scheme...and a perfect guy card...would make a wonderfully relaxing retreat...so glad you could come to the party this week
Mary this is beautiful but I bet it is prettier IRL because of all the details. Your art is always special. Thank you for making this card. David will appreciate it.

Fabulous masculine card. FYI: There are tents & RVs that are outfitted better than an old log cabin. Maybe you should consider checking out the refined side of camping
