I checked out Lydia's mixed media challenge today and got totally distracted instead of working on some other projects that were on my list for today! After seeing Dina's video I can't wait to play around more with foil but because of time issues today I just used aluminum foil and alcohol reinkers for my "painted" piece. I wasn't sure how they would work, if they would dry on foil, etc so I quickly laid down some ink before taking kids to school. At the last second I dropped a bit of yellow and dashed out. When I got home I had a perfect circle dried in the ink!!!
For the bird die cut I used Dina's technique using a cereal box and aluminum foil. What a cool way to make your own chipboard!!!

Beautiful - and how perfect that circle is.
It amazes me how fast those inks dry on foil! Sometimes I've had to wipe them off and start again when things happen too fast.

WOW..your inky bg turned out GREAT! I need to try more alcohol inks (I only have 2 reinkers). I'm amazed that the yellow dried in a circle..was meant to be. Fantastic card..love the bird!
