I saw something like this in a Joann Fabric ad flyer and I decided to give it a try. I used some double-sided designer paper from Kaiser Kraft to make the double-layer flowers. I added a corduroy brad for the flower center. Place the flowers face down on your work surface. Then I punched out a 2" circle, placed a heavy guage flower wire on the back of the flowers, applied glue to the punched out circle, and placed this over the wire and attached to the back of the flower. I held this in place for a minute to make sure the Tombo Multiglue set well. Using SU Certainly Celery cs, I cut the leaves out by hand, sponged them with Certanly Celery ink, and scored veins in the leaves. The veins don't show up as well as I wish they did. Pinch the bottom of the leaves together tightly, add Tombo multiglue to the pinched area and hold tightly to the floral wire until the glue sets. Make sure to attach your leaves about 3" above the bottom of the floral wire so you have room to stick the wire into some floral foam. I used a 4" clay pot from Michael's craft store, then place floral foam inside. I slipped a 6" square of green felt over the floral foam, then, stuck my flower thru the felt and into the floral foam. I tied a piece of ribbon around the clay pot to finish it off. This was really fun to do - the hardest part is waiting for the glue to dry.
