this is one of those cards that turned into hours in the making. I finally decided on stamping the bg with TPC's Eau de Toilette stamp set & watercoloring it with Distress Ink. I wanted to use the Penny Black rose and decided to detail cut it and the layers. I have trouble seeing clear stamps and I dropped it and couldn't find it. After tearing apart my desk and crawling on the floor I found it. When I finally assembled the card, I realized the focal image is overpowerd by the bg. Then I decided to emboss the fleur de lis with pigment ink & ep, so it matched. I heated the first brad too much and it melted so the prongs fell off. Anyway, It's the thought that counts, right?

Mademoiselle Maurcier will be happy to have another beautiful rose for her magic potion! And just look at the pretty bottles for Mademoiselle Maurcier's use! I wonder if she sells it by the gallon? As long as it took you to make, it's beautiful, Fran!

Fran,
Your card is lovely and elegant. The BG is the perfect backdrop for your lovely rose! It sounds like you had a series of misadventures - but your card sure turned out so pretty!

LOL you melted a brad. While I was waiting for the picture to open I read your description and I feel your pain. I admire your dedication with sticking to a project. The end result was well worth it. Love your gorgeous card. TFS

Well look at your beautiful background. You are so clever to think about "French Perfume". This is wonderful. Love your pretty rose image too. What a great card. Your time and effort were definitely worth it!

How intuitive to use Parfum Franais Bouteilles! Now we all know how expensive those authentic perfumes from France can be, so you only went with the best! Good thinking on your part! And the rose with the French script bg is the perfect topping~

You coloured all those little bottles! I thought for sure that was DP - so it was more than worth the time it took. The prongs fell off your brad - goodness, I've never had that happen before, but you certainly ended up with the perfect accessory.
