This card is going to DS#3 who has just been accepted into a PhD program at Colombia University with a full scholarship and fellowship. He truly inspires me with his willingness to expand his boundaries, his energy, wit and work ethic. He has been living in Japan for nearly three years now, so I wanted this card to have an Asian feel.
My SCS inspirations were Janelle in the new Mixed Media Challenge and Elaine in the Stamping Bella Love Fest challenge to use bling. To honor Jeff, I tried something that I have never done - painting with acrylics on a card. I cut the Nestie Circle and randomly spread some diluted red acrylic paint across it. I then dusted it with Pearl-Ex. Cut the MB goose from Bo Bunny Gabrielle and mounted both on black CS. Mounted on a white card and added the bling. PT - 2
Thanks to Janelle and to Elaine for your inspiration. Thank you all for looking and have a peaceful day.

Marie, your heart must be bursting with pride to have your DS accepted into Columbia on scholarship. That's big time and I share your happiness. The card is truly touching, and I love everything about it. Hope your son feels all the love you put into this, especially for him.
