Yesterday's Ways to Use It challenge asked us to use triangles on our card.
My focal image is recycled from a card a friend sent me. I wanted to recycle it for February's Christmas Card Challenge which has a theme of winter sports - and I don't own any winter sports stamps (unless you count a snowman!) so thought I could recycle just the image piece from my friend's card and turn it into a totally different card (hers was much more elaborate with a postcard background and lace and other embellishments).
I kept this very CAS with a simple red background under a piece of cream cardstock that I cut to form four triangles around the focal image. I added the sentiment below the image and also red gemstones in the outer points of each triangle.

That's a fabulous way of framing the image and nailing both triangles and another Christmas card! I love the contrast between the red and the white - very dramatic.

Susan, I love how you recycled the image from your friend's card. Love how you distressed the edges and framed it with the triangles to look like a diamond.

So clever & love the end result! I'm going to check the cards I've saved since I don't have any winter sport stamps either. Thanks for the inspiration!
