So I came home after a long day out with friends. I decided to take a peek and see if the CAS was up for the morning, and it was. I liked the sketch challenge and for some strange reason at almost midnight, I was in the mood to create.
So, I went over to my stack of wood mount stamps saw the lovely as a tree set, and thought, ok, let's make a card with this. It will be winter themed.
So I stamped the image in early espresso. Then highlighted it with glitter gel pen. Then I went into my ribbon drawer, knowing I wanted to use ribbon as my accent. I came across this lovely rose colored ribbon. So I cut three pieces and did the little V thing.
I then mounted the image on early espresso, and adheared the ribbon to the back. But I felt it needed to be softened up a bit, so I added pink pirouette to the back of it.
I knew I wanted white next and since it was winter themed, I wanted to use my snowflake ef, so I dry embossed it with my CB. I then mounted it on early esspresso.
I need to get all my crafting in now. After next week, I am shut down for a while, as I get the last of my surgeries to my left elbow. This will be 6&7. Seven years, 7 surgeries between my two arms. This is going to be a doosey too, because I am getting both sides of my elbow done at one time. (a first for me). So I will be out of commission for a while.
I am so glad I got to play today. I hope the next few challenges inspire me, because I won't be able to create for a while, and I love to be creative.
Have a stellar day everyone, and God Bless!!!

Dara, this is lovely! You've done such a wonderful job of using this classic set and making something new and fresh with it. Love the ribbon you chose, too. So sorry to hear you will be out of commission for awhile. I hope your surgeries are successful and you heal quickly!
