This is part of a series of cards I am making for recent military veterans recovering in a veteran's hospital. This is a real challenge for me since just about all of them are men, and men that I know nothing about. I'm trying to avoid the sports/hunting/fishing/nautical/cars stereotypes.
I started with a piece of sort of dark apricot color cardstock. I sponged on ochre, bronze, chestnut roan, burnt sienna inks. Then I stamped the wheat image. Then I sprayed the whole thing with a coppery shimmer mist--that is probably what is causing the reflection from the flash, making the wheat looked washed out.
The textured part is copper metallic cardstock run through the mesh embossing folder in my Big Shot.

Love the colors you've chosen, lots of warmth, and that copper frame is stunning! I find masculine cards challenging, clearly you do not--this is lovely!!! Elegant and colorful while still being very masculine or it could be for a female too. ANYONE would be thrilled to receive this card, I know I would!!!
