Alex loves giraffes, and I can understand why, they have such pretty faces, as long as they don't stick out their blue tongues!
We have a place up the road called Safari West, where you can go and see wild animals like the giraffes here. Sometime when driving by, if the giraffes or other animals are near the road you can see them. Who'd a thunk, that right smack in the middle of wine country, you can go on a safari, just as if you were on the Serengeti!
I got this pair off the internet, colored and fussy cut them. The bg is a Tim Holtz embossed tree and landscape done by me with water color pencils. I'm saying this is a scene from Safari west.
I hope all these giraffes going Alex's way, put a smile on her face and in her heart!

These tender faces are so very sweet. Great job coloring; I love how you really popped these friendly giraffes with the black outline. I think Alex will love all these giraffes. (And I loved your idea about saying that my giraffe got into the Christmas decorations. Fun!) Blessings, Lela

Blue tongues!! I never knew that. I always think they're so graceful when you see them standing tall, but then they look so ungainly when they're leaning down to pick stuff up. That's a great tree in the background behind your lovely pair of giraffes.

What a super card! I love those giraffes you got off the internet, and the way they are intertwined! Love the background embossing too. Alex will love this, I am sure!
