Today we were to do a swinging Z-fold card. I left off a few steps making mine a quick and simple z fold card. heheÂ…Â…detailsÂ…..
Decided to use a circle for the shape mainly because I got an e-mail from somewhere showing how to make these cool flowers out of dp. I didnÂ’t follow those instructions to the tee either. hehe HereÂ’s what I did do to make the flower. Took some dp, cut four circles then folded them into quarters. Also cut the edges with scallop scissors. Cut out another circle, left edges alone and glued on the four folded circles. Put some twine on a button and glued it to the center. Set aside.
Took some kraft cs, scored it according to the instructions, cut out half a circle on the front, then added some dp to the inside with a circle cut out to match the front, and sponged the edges.
Put my flower on the circle part and opened up my card and thought that cut out circle would be the perfect place for the sentiment. So I printed a sentiment out on the computer, the using my coluzzle I cut a circle around it, sponged and doodled edges and glued it into the space.
Well, this was pretty fun. The hardest part was trying to figure out how to photo it, so I hope you get the gist of what I didÂ…Â….TFL :0)

Love what you did with the Z Fold, Cathy. That TH DP was perfect for your fancy circle flower. The whole card has your artisitic stamp on it! (Pun intended!) : )

This is really neat and in the Mutnik style I see. Love oyur choice of colors and that cool flower you created. You always are the ORIGINAL. Good to see you too sweet friend.
P.S. We are expecting DGD Alice, she is our second one and my oh my we all are very excited about that event. Until then we have our cutsie Marie Mychelle to spoil with love. I can't wait to see them together. But everything will come to us in time. Need to be patient. LOL Hugs Peggyxo

Gorgeous paper and a great flower. Plus, after having made several of these, I can bet it's much easier to fold without adding DP to the swing panel. Just most of my plain card-stock is Bazzill, which is both hard to stamp on and not very strong...

this is beautiful!!! very interesting fold going on and when I have time I have to check it out. Great dp and I love the flower. I love how you can always make it work by tweaking the design. I wish I could do that!! tfs.
