Prismacolor pencils, baby oil and paper stumps were used to color the images using the Gamsol technique. Baby oil replaces the Gamsol/mineral spirits.
AleeneÂ’s Paper Glaze was applied to the bubbles and I used a stick pin dipped in the glaze to pick up some glitter and place on the bubble so it wouldnÂ’t be completely covered.
The sun is the two smallest flowers from the Cuttlebug set Asterisk and the smaller circle from the same set.
The flowers are cut out and embossed using a metal ball stylus. I scor lines on the front, flip it over and emboss staying away from the lines. I embossed all three tulip petals and only the top half of the leaf. The images are dotted with AleeneÂ’s tacky glue on the back and placed on the card.
The frame is designed to cut the rectangle out of the center but by rolling the die into the machine just far enough to cut the edges and rolling back out again will keep it as one piece which is easier to work with as a full card.
Dry emboss the entire panel.
Sponge the dots before removing the cardstock from the die.
Mask off the rectangle with sticky notes to sponge on the sky, I use my hand cut cloud template for this step.
To form the card - cut a second frame with the same procedure but don’t emboss. Score ½” from the top, fold, apply adhesive above the score line and attach to the front panel.
