Julia's / Kim's challenge today was to use decorative scissors. I was just given some scalloped scissors that are a much nicer scallop than my old ones, so I broke them out of the packaging today. The little white frame was left on my desk from the F4A sunshine challenge a couple of weeks back, and that was my starting point...
5 1/2" white base.
The frame was cut from chipboard with Nestabilities and painted with distress Crackle Paint.
Pun Fun whale stamped on watercolour paper, coloured with Soot Black and Faded Jeans distress inks and cut out. Another scrap of watercolour paper was sponged with Faded Jeans for the sky. I used some American Traditional Designs paper to cut the waves, and sponged the edges with Faded Jeans. It was just a bit too clean and simple, so I scored round the sides and top and added dots along the scoring with a silver gel pen - used that too for the whale's water spout. Seagulls are from Kittie Kits Create a Scene.

It's nice to know I'm not the only one who leaves things sitting on my table forever. Some of those scraps are my best inspirations. I love that framed card. Will I see one of these when I visit Dublin?
