tried the watercolor again this time on SU cardstock..much better, paper didn't warp! was challenging myself to only use stuff from SU as i do have lots of old craft stuff around and since i just started with SU don't have lots of it YET!

So pretty and sweet and delicate looking! I have found that watercoloring on watercolor paper works great. SU sells it and you can also get it at Michaels. I still do some watercoloring on cardstock though.

What a beautiful card. I put it in my favorites at first glance. You're right, there's nothing like watercolor paper.
(As for your comment, that you're new to SU! Don't worry, before long you'll be moving your kids to the basement just to have their old bedroom to keep your supplies handy!) Happy New Year.
