My avatar for the last while has been a Thyroid Cancer Awareness logo as a reminder for me to keep our nephew's wife at the top of our prayer list. She was given a diagnosis of thyroid cancer last fall - fortunately caught at an early stage. She has now had her surgery and radiation and her prognosis is excellent. And for that, we are all thankful. They just had their first baby in April so it has been quite a year. This was the card I sent to her before her radiation treatment.
I used the sketch for CAS89 as my starting point when I made this card - just flipped it. Kept my embellishments to a minimum - just the punched sentiment and some score lines. When I looked at it again today, it seems to be a pretty good fit for this week's sketch challenge (SC31 - my pink panel is just a bit larger than the sketch.
The ribbon for Thyroid cancer is teal/pink & blue.

What a wonderful card to send your neice. Wow, what a happy ending. How amazing that after having gone through what she experienced, she was able to bring a beautiful baby into the world. Such a great story, Heather.

Love the CAS card1 The multi-coloured ribbon is wonderful and I'm loving the shape of that punch. Lovely scoring to add a bit of detail too. I'm sure loved receiving the card and I'm so glad to hear she is doing well

What a lovely card, Izzy. I'm so glad to hear of the excellent prognosis for your nephew's wife. You did a super job recreating that thyroid cancer ribbon.
