There are times when ideas for cards just fly through my head and times when I have to look at the gallery to get an idea or case another card. I wish I had a hard drive in my brain for the ideas that fly through that way I could look back later instead of forgetting what I thought up. Especially when I am at one house and my stamping supplies are at another. Anyway, this idea popped into my head the other day, and I kept repeating it to myself over and over so I wouldn't forget. An igloo, Eskimos need igloos right? All I had to do was figure out how to make one. I used one of my circle nesties and cut it across, then place it on my scor-pal and made the lines for the blocks of ice. I've never seen an igloo, but I figured they layed the blocks of ice like you would lay brick or block. Then my next problem was figuring out how to make the doorway, I used a couple of different punches and trimmed it to my liking.....maybe I should have trimmed them a little more. The background is a piece of white using the Spellbinders Impressabilites Snowflake and sponging stormy sky distress ink, after first stamping the campfire from Happy Camper and masking. I stamped the Eskimos colored with prisma-colored pencils and goo gone, cut them out, than added winter white flower soft for the trimmings. I placed yellow and red stickles in the fire, but I don't think you will be able to tell how cute that turned out. I also sponged some stormy sky over the igloo. Then after it was all put together (the igloo door and the kids are popped up) I used some snow writer & glistening snow writer to add more texture and sparkle. Thanks for looking and any comments.
