This card was made for the "Girls in Pink" HYCCT challenge. It's a good example of what happens when I stay up too late at night because it didn't exactly go the way I'd planned. When I was coloring the image, the skin turned out a darker pink than I meant for it to be, and then it almost blended in with the wings. But to paraphrase what they say in show business, "the card must go on." I originally wanted to add crystal effects to the balloons to make them glossy, but after the coloring snafu I decided I'd better leave well enough alone. At least paper piecing the dress went pretty smoothly. Then this morning I had a time getting a photo of the card that showed how the wings and the sash of her dress shimmer.
