Yep! It's the MAN, and he is swaggerin' in to the Birthday Saloon (they don't serve anything but the finest Chocolate Tea there you know...) He orders his tea, drops a quarter in the juke box and this is what he hears:
A little song for Hilda, listen:
Stamp River, wider than a mile,
I'm crossing you in style some day.
Oh, tea maker, you heart breaker,
wherever you're going I'm going your way.
Two stampers off to see CHA.
There's such a lot of ink to see.
We're after the same cardmaker's end--
waiting 'round the bend,
my QFTD friend,
Stamp River..... and me.
Queen Hilda, that's all I got for ya! Poetry, not a gift I possess. So, you will have to settle for a re-write of a classic. I totally love how you crank up a MMTPT party and the encouraging words you always have for each party goer! Today I used Amethyst Tree. Your card is so elegant, and mine so sooo 'not', but I loved those swingin' doors and you inspired me to make a bd card for a very special friend. I changed the colors and stamps and direction of the ribbon, but still used a cuttled bg. I sooo loved how you used the Top Note, and I can see casing you again in this! Hilda, thank you for encouraging me, and Jamie in your work, and thru your words. You are one sweet Stamper lady! Enjoy your crown!

Aw, Pat... if you could see my "wider than a mile" smile right now, you'd know how much I'm lusting after this saloon swaggerin' cowboy and your classic re-write! I've gotta argue with you... you're a poet who maybe doesn't know it. It's poetry to my ears, girl... I LOVE it, especially with Andy singing in the background! Great idea to use the top note as swinging saloon doors... and WWW man is the perfect stamp for it. The felt ribbon adds to the western flair, and your lovely rose give it the "Miss Kitty" touch. AWESOME card!
Thanks so much for your kind words, for making me feel like a queen, and for the HUGE grin you just put on my face!

Oh Pat, Andy Williams is such a crooner. I hate to admit I have memories from that era :-) What a splendid piece of eye candy you have created. I so love the flaps with the masculin brads, and the red flower with greenery. A real beauty.
