TLC296 Double Ball Ornament
Added to Favorite

Photo Details
Poster: Cook22

Thank you, Joan, for a lovely challenge today. When I first read it I was going to get out an old Christmas magazine, but I've never tried these ornaments before (tutorial in Resources). Had to improvise a bit as I had no hat pins or anything like it. I used #26 gauge wire, an end cap )not really necessary) and some beads, and started from the bottom up, rather than the top as in the tutorial. To hold the top in place and stop it springing up too much I threaded the wire around a bead and pulled it down to the right position to hold the strips in place.
Papers are Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses, with edges sponged in Merlot and Olive.

THANK YOU for 'smacking' me in the head with "use wire"!!
I had been putting off making these ornaments using the excuse that I didn't have the right supplies/pins, etc...

Your ornament is very eye catching ~ LOVELY!! tfs R ;)

I love your pretty ornament, Sabrina! I looked at those instructions and didn't think I could get the strips to cooperate, so I tried another style! Don't you love the Eskimo Kisses papers!

This is so pretty. I like how you distressed the edges of your paper on this one.

This is beautiful. I read the instructions for this but it looked like something I could easily screw up. Maybe I will try it looks so great.
