My system needed an upgrade. I had been printing a label with the name of the folder in tiny font to tape to the upper right hand corner (Why doesnÂ’t the company put the name on the folder?) and then was storing them alphabetically in the CD crate but it was still a bit time consuming to find the right folder.
I love the Stampin’ Up! Round tab punch. A great many things are organized using it in my craft inventory. The tab carries the name of the pattern, the company and my name (so my equipment can make its way back to me eventually). All the Cuttlebug folders have a white tab except the CB folders with coordinating die-cuts—they have yellow tabs making them especially easy to spot. Stampin’ Up! Folders have green tabs and QuicKutz have light blue.
And those wonderful new 5 by 7-inch folders? In the back so they donÂ’t block the view of their shorter brethren. The crates slip right into my cabinet next to the Nestibilities binders.
A word of caution: using these tags means the folders canÂ’t be run through the Cuttlebug sideways (widthwise) but IÂ’ve never had a hinge problem running them through lengthwise. I do always try to remember to run the hinge end first.
