I forget what this technique is called but it was perfect for this bird image. I don't use these shades of blue (night of navy and brilliant blue) very often, because I prefer baja breeze and those lighter shades of blue. But I do like the way this turned out and it looked great with the hazelnut tan from Mark's Finest Papers. I've been watching the bluejays at my birdfeeder all summer long.

We have lots of jays too! I love them! Great plaid technique......and you do use a lot of lighter shades of blue!!
