This is for our twinchie swap that is due tomorrow. My swap partner, Dena, chose Nancy Drew for her theme. I learned that the first series of books always had a silhouette in orange, so I used that idea as my inspiration.
I first used my InkScape program to prepare the silhouette for cutting. It changes the format into a svg file (scalable vector graphic) suitable for cutting. I'm not a geek. That's all I know about that. Next, I used my Sure Cuts A Lot program to cut the silhouette. No need for a pricey cartridge ladies! I cut two different sizes to see which I liked best. I cut the silhouette Six times and very *carefully* glued each layer to get a thicker piece. I like the final result, because it looks like a thick piece of wood in real life.
Inchie - I made an inchie booklet and added Dena's name. Be sure to check out the other photo to see what's on the inside. *snort*
Charms - Our favorite detective has to have the proper tools, so the metal charms were ordered on the internet. - from the Sleuth Shop of course!
So there ya go, Ms. Dena!
Thanks for taking a look.

How does one get so lucky to have you as a swap partner?! I like how you made the paper thicker. Good idea; my cutter wont cut thick thick stuff. Thanks for sharing!

Okay, so there is how the whole ND card series got started?
Wow, that detective sure has been around for what seems like forever. 80 years and still going strong. I absolutely love all the details and the unique perspective on how to craft around the world famous detective.
