This is for our twinchie swap that is due tomorrow. My swap partner, Dena, chose Nancy Drew for her theme. I learned that the first series of books always had a silhouette in orange, so I used that idea as my inspiration.
I first used my InkScape program to prepare the silhouette for cutting. It changes the format into a svg file (scalable vector graphic) suitable for cutting. I'm not a geek. That's all I know about that. Next, I used my Sure Cuts A Lot program to cut the silhouette. No need for a pricey cartridge ladies! I cut two different sizes to see which I liked best. I cut the silhouette Six times and very *carefully* glued each layer to get a thicker piece. I like the final result, because it looks like a thick piece of wood in real life.
Inchie - I made an inchie booklet and added Dena's name. Be sure to check out the other photo to see what's on the inside. *snort*
Charms - Our favorite detective has to have the proper tools, so the metal charms were ordered on the internet. - from the Sleuth Shop of course!
So there ya go, Ms. Dena!
Thanks for taking a look.

You've got me speechless!
...and anyone who knows me will tell you THAT is a feat in itself!
So crafty, ingenious, AMAZING, gorgeous, "totally put together", fantastic....
I so wish you lived in my neighborhood and that we both would have time for coffee, tea, hot chocolate (or whatever in-the-cup beverage you prefer) together once a week just to gab about ideas!
I loved Nancy Drew (got a book every birthday and Christmas and my parents still have the whole set in the attic).
Thanks so much for sharing your creativity and for the trip back down memory lane!!!!!!!
And again, Happy Holidays!
