Hail to the Queen! Anne has spun the wheel and this week it's Sabrina who is wearing the crown! Sabrina not only has a gallery filled with beautiful cards... she has an incredible eye for details. It shows in her cards, her comments and in her stunning photographs.
I have several of Sabrina's cards in my favorites, but chose to CASE Copper Blue so I could fit it in with a couple of other challenges. I changed the colors, the embossing folder and punched the butterflies, but this is totally Sabrina's design.
For Joan's Gardens Challenge #5 I framed my focal point of butterflies punched out of Webster Pages DP... it's not Graphic 45 paper, but it was an RAK gift from Joan. ;-)
As an added twist to Queen For The Day , Anne challenged us to weave a story about our parents into our post, so here goes.
I'm thinking I must have been adopted, because my Mom very seldom bought something she didn't need, and she NEVER bought something she didn't use! She probably wouldn't approve of my plethora of stamping supplies, especially all those things I just had to have, but haven't put to use. Yet.
Congratulations Sabrina!!!

Ms Broom, what a beautiful card you've brought us to honor Sabrina. I love that new EF; I've not seen it, but it sure is pretty. Yikes, this is a beauty for sure. Beautiful everything.

Oh no, I forgot to tell you I would have to think your mom would never approve of any dedicated stamper: we buy all kinds of things at any price we think we need to have. If that's not bad enough, we never seem to use half of what we have. Thanks for the remembrance of your mom.

Gosh, Hilda - you deserve special congratulations for going so far back in my gallery. I'm glad you found something that worked with that lovely new embossing folder. That looks as if it will be very versatile and get a lot of use!
My brother and sister always used to reckon that either I was adopted or they were, because they felt I was treated better - not true of course, and given that when we were kids, people used to think that we were twins in one combination or another, not very plausible either.
There is a railway station a few stops down the line from us called Broombridge. Any time I am on the train, it always makes me think of you . It's actually beside quite a historical bridge Broome Bridge, what a surprise!!
Pasting a quote from Wikipedia: It is somewhat famous for being the location where Sir William Rowan Hamilton first wrote down the fundamental formula for quaternions on October 16, 1843, which is to this day commemorated by a stone plaque on the northwest corner of the underside of the bridge.
The text on the plaque reads:
Here as he walked by
on the 16th of October 1843
Sir William Rowan Hamilton
in a flash of genius discovered
the fundamental formula for
quaternion multiplication
i² = j² = k² = ijk = −1
& cut it on a stone of this bridge.

INCREDIBLY BEAUTIFUL!! I, of course, am very partial to butterflies, and this card is such a beauty. Love the embossing of that great DP for your BG, and them the gems to set it off, topped by the flitting butterflies all over the place, - I am sure that Sabrina will consider this a wonderful case.Love those "copper Blues" Sabrina. Thanks for all you kind comments here, you are a true Queen.!

Hilda, that is one pretty embossing folder and such sweet butterflies flitting about. Very pretty card! I agree, your Mom probably wouldn't approve. What a total addiction we all have!!
