A work colleague of DH's wanted a simple Christening card for a 2 or 3 year old grandson. Not having any suitable stamps or dies I'd been fiddling around with punched holes trying to a sort of ribbon-embroidery cross. Luckily I found THIS lovely card of Roxie's - what a great idea to use the slot punch.
The card started as a 5 3/4" square, but I trimmed the side down a bit. The background panel is watercolour paper stamped with a Hero Arts script stamp and embossed in silver, then washed with several blue H2Os. I made the cross more or less as Roxie described, using a buckle embossed with several layers of silver and the script stamp stamped in it while it was still warm. Silver leafing pen round the edges of both panels. The cross panel was embossed with the Script ef and popped up on foam.
