Today's TLC challenge was so much fun. It is to do pounded flowers. I've certainly never tried that before and really enjoyed my first attempt. I went out into the dew early this morning to get my coreopsis. Didn't encounter bears or opossums as some of the ladies did. LOL
Instead of a bg, I cut my flower out with a blossom nestie and used dp for my background. Watercolored around my flower with a soft green. I really love this technique and will want to try it again.
I also made this card to honor Kittie747 as QFTD.
I loved going through her awesome gallery and chose Flowers and Butterflies to case. Flowers and Butterflies by kittie747 at Splitcoaststampers I kept Kittie's layout, moved my ribbon to the top, used a different nestie, image, and bg dp. Kittie, I hope you're enjoying your week as Queen. Also, have a Happy Birthday week.

Using the flower as your main image is a wonderful idea....at first glance it looks like you stamped it!!! WOW, this is sooo pretty!!! I love the bow and background paper, too!!!

Oh Benzi! What fun! I popped out onto the deck last night and plucked a couple of posies off my planters to try this but haven't got to the 'finished card' stage yet. No bears out there, just mosquitos! I should try 'pounding' some of the mosquitos! Might make some interesting designs. Love how yours turned out - great QFTD card - I am a bit behind on my QFTD cards but hope to catch up soon! The nestie you used is perfect for this (BTW, I don't have that set. You can just include the set you picked up for me with your next (first) package!) Hugz. RYPH!

Benzi, this is pretty! I haven't read all the directions on the technique, but I like what I'm seeing around the gallery. Good job poundin' those poor flowers!
