Here's the tweet: Byrdella, the Bluebird has quite the dilema. She's a very famous Birthday Party Planner and is in great demand! Not only is she meticulous in planning her birthday parties, perfect in every little detail, but she is quite reasonable! You see, she and her staff can fly to all the different birthday party locations on their own so she has no airfare expense and she passes that savings along to her clients! She just doesn't need to charge much for her services! She's not the materialistic type, just never has been! Birdseed is cheap (cheap! cheap!# and that's really all she spends her consulting fees on! Well, I take that back, she has a little fetish for bird baths and has been known to splurge a couple of times a year on the latest and greatest!
Byrdella has a very important birthday party planned this week in California and despite her many phone calls, text messages, and e-mails that Mother Nature seems to be ignoring, it continues to rain! Her staff heard that Mother Nature is all bent outa shape cuz a group of 42,000 renegade robins decided to map out their own flight plans and she's sick of dealing with the reports of near misses! She's put a moratorium on flights by making it rain! How's Byrdella and her crew supposed to get to the birthday party in California if they can't fly for cheap? #cheap! cheap!#. They have to get there with 75 birthday cards, 75 cupcakes, 75 candles, and 75 birthday wishes by the 25th!
Spock, The Hawk #he's addicted to Star Trek re-runs!) is Byrdella's bodyquard and right hand man and although he has a macho, tough bird, don't mess with me image to uphold, he often comes up with great solutions to birthday party dilemas! This Rain's Insane! Let's Take the Birdbrain Train!! At that point most of Byrdella's staff walked out, do you know how long it takes to travel by train? How can the Birdbrain Train be the Birdbrain Train with no birds? That's where we come in! Bird, Bird, Bird, Bird's the word! Bring birds! 75 of them! Bird's with birthday wishes, birds with birthday cakes, birds with birthday balloons, candles and presents! And if you only have the more conservative type bird, that's okay too, you just have to come in the back door!
I chose to use this digital image by Doodle Pantry. I love this happy little bird. I the dp is from sei. The cs is from a DCWV textured mat stack. I colored the image using colored pencils and blended with baby oil and a blending stump. I stitched the oval and the small panel down with a zig-zag stitch, the top thread is tan and the bottom is black. It looks interesting. Then I stitched around the outside border with baby blue in a small straight stitch, twice. I used a large zig-zag to fill in the space between the straight stitching lines. The gems are from Taryn and I received them with my swap cards. What a wonderful gift, I just love how they sparkle. Then I tied a bit of ribbon on across the bottom. This card has more going on than I normally would do, but I think it turned out ok.

All that stitching is fabulous, it really caught my eye. Especially on the oval image layer, that looks fantastic. I must admit I use clear mono-filament as my bobbin to save all the fuss of winding different bobbins, but I love the look you've got.
