Ok, these are colors I would NEVER normally put together, but I adore how this card turned out.
I originally stamped this image four times on white cs. I sat in front of the tv and got creative with the colored pencils. I thought, hey, in nature there are yellow butterflies and blue flowers... sometimes they get together... so this is the one I chose to use...
I cut this out, and yes, it took a very long time. But it was well worth it. I was able to mount it directly on this golden yellow cs. I used a darker blue almost a true blue cs to cut a panel to stick behind part of the image panel, then I cut a small triangle for the opposing corner. I stitched the image panel with a zig-zag stitch and then stitched the darker blue with a small straight stitch. All on a MS piece of cs in aqua with little white dots. It does match the flowers in RL. I added a couple of buttons in the corners for balance. The largest butterfly was restamped and cut out, glued the body only so the wings are dimensional.
To tie this into the challenge...
If you checked out the butterflies in blue card, you will see that these yellow beauties are their cousins, and they offered to help guide Darla and Dingle Bell Berry around to see all the pretties... They decided these would be the first flowers they showed off!
Thanks for looking, and reading my silly little story. I'd love to hear what you think.

WOW! You cut all those petals out?? Amazing job. And the colouring is stellar. I don't have quite enough patience to colour so detailed. I liked your story... And I am enjoying your blog too, I'm glad I stumbled on it, over you, or however and whomever stumbled first! And if I didn't say so, this card is stunning.
