Card I made for Alexis's 4th BD. Jillibean paper and ribbon. Now she wants to make a bookmark using that ribbon, because she and Mommy are reading books with chapters. Added "jewels" because every 4yo loves that, (right?)
Alexis (see Avatar) loves the color orange and pigs. Alexis just turned 4 and also loves to stamp with Grandma. For her birthday a assembled a stamping kit. The stamps are a collection found on ebay of old PSX and various makers. I got a snapware container and filled it with ink (ORANGE and brown), buttons, adhesive, markers, ribbon, precut pieces to stamp the pigs on etc. In a slightly larger container, I put CS, precut scored card bases, and lots of precut DP. I found the Jillibean DP and ribbon with pigs and old MacDonald's theme at Buffalo Stamps and Stuff when we were at the WNY shoebox swap in early May. (Thanks Tracy). The Jillibean paper has pigs on one side corn on the other, the words to the song and the farm on matching sheets. I just cut out different strips, squares and rectangles so Alexis can just make her own layouts by mixing and matching. I also found some orange DP in patterns and florals at The Crafting Cottage on the way to WNY so she has quite a variety. BSS had some leftover envelopes 20 for $1 and guess what color they were????? ORANGE!, so they went into the kit. Alexis has already made and sent thanks yous for the BD gifts she received.

Ohmygoodness, this whole post is so sweet. Little Alexis in the avatar is darling (and, of course, wearing orange LOL!). The card is precious. And the story (with kit) is so sweet. Thanks for sharing a little bit of your home with us this morning. This is what card-making is all about, huh? Blessings to you, Lela
