This is for the final round of the CAS DT search! I am so happy and honored to have made it this far! And it's been fun! I LOVE challenges!
So Jen challenged us to make a card inspired by water...I ALWAYS think of water and the ocean (well, I live on LONG ISLAND! 5 min to a beach) and one technique I always use for a watery feel is the shaving cream technique! It makes such a nice watery BG! The rest of the card was easy...just stamp and cut! TFL and good luck everyone!
**ETA just to answer a few questions...the sentiment is from Papertrey ink's A Day at the Beach and the colors I used int he shaving cream were SU re-inkers tempting turquoise, creamy caramel and ballet blue. I stamped the shells with creamy caramel and cameo coral.

Your card is fabulous! Love the shells over the twine. I also use the shaving foam technique for backgrounds but don't get such a nice soft look as you have. What inks do you use?

This is beautiful! I've never heard of the shaving cream technique 'til now and I love how it looks! The woodgrain, eyelet and twine are wonderful elements.

Great job, love the rippled water you managed to get from the shaving cream technique. The shells on the wooden/string background really say fisherman's boat.
