I've been fascinated by the Encaustic technique, but don't have any of the waxes. Beate recently updated the melted crayon background tutorial and reminded me that this could be done instead!!

Absolutely goreous results with the melted crayons, I just sat here staring at this beauty and started thinking of Hawaii with it's lava rock and pretty sunsets. Great job with the technique and thanks for sharing it!
