Challenge card for the Wish-RAK Memorial Day – Operation Write Home Card Round-up.
We were to use a fancy fold. We were given this specific fancy fold (which really isn't all that
fancy) and asked to include a piece letter weight paper inside.
Like the other card I made for this challenge, I know this is not the best card either. In fact, this "vintage" bear paper came from the same scrap folder. I saw that border print and though it would look nice on the top flap of the card. Alas, beginning without a full plan often leads to disaster. I had thought I had a large "vintage" bear punch but only had the bitty one. Wasn't nearly big enough. Digging around more, looking for hearts or a larger die cut bear (I have loads of old stuff my sister gave to me. I rarely use it but on this card, I used 3 items!) I found that heart doily that just happened to be the right shade of pink. Then it still wasn't right and I realized it was because the lower DP was white and pink check. A tad of ink and while it's a long way from perfect, it at least doesn't offend my sensibilities completely. And, I like that I used two consumables that might have ended up in a landfill and a punch that more or less sits in a shoe box with his brethren gathering dust. Justification to never ever get rid of anything. Again, sorry to ramble. The DP the bear is punched from came from Wish-RAK.

I think we're our own worst critics. I look at the card and decide what I like about it - This one looks wonderful to me. I love the way the heart doily/doilie (?) coordinates w/the border ... Very nice.
