Saddle up y'all, this week we are headed to the Kentucky Derby...well, actually we are supposed to get there a week early to find jockeys for all the horses abandoned in the recent strike....for the rest of the details go here:
I'm having trouble getting Jupiter going, as there are a few fences between here and there...and the one thing that stubborn horse wouldn't do was jump fences...no matter how I tried...I ended up on my rear on the ground more than once before I gave up....so as soon as I find a route without any fences, we'll be there....sure hope it's before the starting bell cuz I'm riding to win....heck with just showing up....pfffttt...
I stamped Jupiter in dark brown and embossed in clear....then very lightly sponged some sky and grass....wanted a retro illustration look....to go with a set of vintage cowboy dinnerware a friend has been looking for ages for....cut the wagon wheel corners and horseshoes on cricut...
TFL.....

Jupiter won't jump? Hmmmm....well, he rears up real good. Sheri, another beautimous card, and those wagon wheels again! Ai yi yi- I love those! Your black framing and light sponging really make this one 'jump', (not over a fence). Beautiful work!

Better hold on tight. I learned from experience as a younger gal. Sometimes them horses run all the way up to the fence but then suddenly stop and put their head down making it easier for YOU to go over it. hehe Fortunately mine was a tiny creek, not fence. Love your stallion here. Your card is so pretty. Hope you find that fence-less route or at least where the gates are. Cool card. TFS :0)

Now Jupiter looks like a winner for sure. He is willing and ready to go!!! Great shading for grass and sky. I have such a hard time with that!!! My horse when I was younger threw me once. We came to a very small flow of water. I made it over but she didn't. That is probably the reason for some of my aches and pains since I am older!!! Glad you made it to the race!!! tfs.

Ooh, I hope you're not covered in big ol' bruises. Yep, Jupiter sounds stubborn and a bit dangerous, at least, for you. Wonderful card and I see that cricut is going strong. Why don't I just get mine out and do something with it? Lazy...or no time? The latter, I think. LOL Love your card and Jupiter is a beauty!

This is gorgeous. I am surprised Jupiter won't jump fences. He looks like he likes to be free and wild. I love the horse shoes, nice touch. And your corner adornments are wonderful.

I am such a rotten hostess! I didn't even see you come in! Jumpin Jupiter! Was that a fence he just jumped? Oops...he just jumped at the bell, a little jumpy at that sound! You sure he's run a race before? Snort! What a great card and fun image! Perfect for this Kentucky Derby teaparty! Love it girlfriend!!!
