This is for the Inspiration Challenge featuring Crate Label Museum. Thanks for the challenge, Anne!
Well, I wouldn't exactly call this card inspired, but I just had to play. You see, I am quite intrigued with the crate labels of days gone by. Back when crates were made of wood and the labels were sheer art in themselves. I own a few original crate labels from the 40's that I have framed in my kitchen. This is one of them that I scanned and reduced. It is the same label from the museum found here: http://cratelabelmuseum.com/pic.php?id=318.
I added a Sizzix branch and some brads. The card base is a woodgrain embossed card stock to simulate the wood crate.
Thanks for indulging my love of crate labels and have a fabulous day!

How absolutely and totally perfect!! From your scanned image to the woodgrain paper, what could be better for the challenge. And those little brads on the leafy spray are just so much fun and such a great detail to add, along with the yellow ones on the bottom. Mind you, I am not as fond of yellow apples. When it comes down to it, I think the best apples are ones you've grown yourself, so I don't buy them much except for cooking. We had one variety that we picked and ate green from the tree but the ones that survived to be stored for the winter would go yellow as they aged - now they were OK.
Enjoy your weekend.

How smart of you to scan and reduce the inspiration - lol - I think that was shear genious! It's a great layout and I adore the cute little leaf die cuts with brads too! If this were a prize challenge - you would have won!!!
