God demonstrated His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us ... being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. Romans 5:8 & 9
This is so beautiful. Can you share the directions for making the cross or tell me where to go to learn how to make it. Thank you for sharing this.

Stunning! Simply stunning! I have never quilled (is that a word?). This is the first time I have ever wanted to learn. Do you have the instructions for the cross or can you lead me to a resource to learn how to make the cross? Thanks for sharing.

I have received several requests asking how I made the cross. The technique is called Alternating Sides Combing. I found a video on Youtube that shows the technique.
Basically you use an onion holder and after securing one end of a quilling strip over the first two prongs you loop the paper through the 6th prong (this is the center loop). Then you alternate from right to left from the 5th to the 3rd prong gluing each loop at the center. For the long bottom I started on the 11th prong. Each of the four sides are done individually and then glued together. I cut a small circle to glue my cross to. If you have access to a Library; Paper Quilling by Alli Bartkowski, shows the technique and has a similar cross pictured.
