Hi - I have been wanting to create this card since I saw Carmen at the Metropolitan Opera at Lincoln Center in NYC. The Met is one of my favorite places on this Earth to go. Each performance is like a work of art. Trust me, you can not say that you do not like Opera unless you have seen one in person and especially at one of the world's best opera houses. Carmen was a special Christmas present for me this year.
This is my first attempt at replicating the ceiling at The Met. I do not have any pictures I can link you to, but you can Google images for "metropolitan opera ceiling". This is a picture on someone's blog. Alternatively, you can watch the movie "Moonstruck" and know what I am talking about.
And yes, those are Swavorski crystals. The chandeliers are magnificent.

You definitely captured the ceiling of the Met! I like how you used a large snowflake to capture the chandeliers that move up and down and are like starbursts or 3-D snowflakes. Love how you did the scallops of the ceiling too....as well as recessing the center motif. Great job!
