 | | New stamps!!! What could be better? New stamps and an SCS challenge to use them. I also used new purple paper from Mark's Finest Papers!!! This is also for the Flourishes Celebration Week Day 1 sketch challenge. (At the bottom of the blog page. http://www.flourishes.org/blog/)
This main image stamp is the Cornish Heritage Farms Feb. 2010 Stamp of the month. I also used a CHF stamp for the embossing on the lower area. The upper embossed images are new to me and from SU!'s Of the Earth. Lots of fun, plus, check out my purple paper called Momma's Favorite Purple. I love this color! It mixes beautifully with SU! Soft Sky. The contrast really grabs your attention.
I used Prismacolor pencils and PearlEx Watercolors to color this main image. I increased the length of the card to 6" to accommodate the stamp with the matting, sentiment and punched edge as the sketch encourages. The card looks simple, but the accessories list is quite long as your can see.
I had a lot of fun making this card. Which I think will be my darling daughter-in-law's birthday card. Happy birthday, Georgia, a.k.a. Someguysgirl. Hope you like it! ~Chrysi~ |
