Well, this week there is a quilter named Aquilta that is gonna get showed what for...she issued a challenge, and if there is anything these teapotter gals are up for; it's a good challenge....for the rest of the story go here.. IC222, Thoughts of you by Ksnurse at Splitcoaststampers
This week we were also asked to make a card for Lindsey, so Andy and Annie are wheeling my loads and loads of love her way...they're a little slow cuz I told them no hitchhiking and it's a long way to Colorado from here.(that better be Andy just wavin to passers by!!)....but hopefully they will put a smile on her face.
Now Aquilta, about that challenge...you jus don know whut yous talkin about....I's been quilting for almost......well... more yrs. than I want to admit to and I can't even count how many I've made...(cuz I gave em all away, but..shhhh... we aren't gonna tell her that)..so I'm headed to Marion and I've got a few things to show you...ya better be glad CurlyMae hasn't gotten home from Londontown yet cuz that winchester she carries around is loaded with birdseed for varmits like you...
I dug through my piles of quilt fabric and come up with a wonderful piece to cut out of Andy and Annie for the focal pt of my card...I trimmed it and applied it to some parchment paper that I sponged the edges of to blend in cuz I was in a hurry to get to Marion, didn't have time to fussy cut...Added it to a mat and then onto an appliqued bg....the panels were appliqued with a perfect 1.5 mm applique zigzag stitch to the base layer and that was all applied to the card with a perfect 1/4 in. seam...Hope Aquilta's eyes are good cuz them stitches I made is so tiny there are at least 42,005 on here...I added some ribbon, buttons and a charm...the wagon full of hearts is cut on cricut....
I actually even made a color challenge card!! 1st time as they usually end up to far away from where I start...I don't have SU paper so used the closest I could find...
TFL...

Amazing job blending your unfussy cut in. My first fabric flower frayed too much to use, so I am doubly impressed with the neat edge you got from your fabric. Wish the picture was bigger so I could see all those details better. I reckon by the time Andy and Annie roll into CO, CurlyMae could well be back .

Whoo Hoo! You are here! Hey, guess what? Ole whats-er-doodle Aquilta ran out the Hall of Fame crying about 3 hours ago! She could not take it anymore...did you text her and tell her you were coming and that pushed her over.....you know, off the edge? Giggle!
This card is awesome....and we need to show Chenille.she is still here and amazingly has become quite close to some of the teapotters, could be that's why whats-er-doodle left crying! Hee!
Can't believe the work you put into this card. I love that it is fabric and made by a professional quilter! Who'd a thunk!! I would love to see it first hand..I am gonna ask Carla to bring the cards in that she gets, so I might just getta see it! Whoo! Hoo!
Did you hear, Bonnie brought more cake! I will show you where its at....but you gotta share with Andy and Annie, they look a little famished! Thanks for making this awesome card Lindsay's! She will love it! Bigtime!
