 | | My friend that loves rabbits asked me to make her some cards, birthday, Easter, Christmas, etc. The problem I have is, I am in the process of moving, so I have some stamping stuff in one house and some in the other. I have internet access at one house but not the other. Of course I forgot to take all of my rabbit stamps with me, I only remembered to take Forest Friends and Serene Spring, and I also love to check out the galleries for ideas, and I was at the house with no internet. I had a black and timber brown stazon ink pad, my SU markers, all kinds of dp that I have been hoarding, nesties, some cuttlebug folders, sizzix dies, white embossing powder, my sets of glaze, soufflé, and jelly roll stardust pens, a little bit of my ribbon collection. Every time I would come up with an idea, what I needed was at the other house.
I started with birthday, using Forest Friends, saving Serene Spring for Easter, figured I have plenty of time to do Christmas cards later, didnÂ’t know when she would need the first birthday card. I thought the only birthday stamps I had was SUÂ’s On Your Birthday, Family Phrases, and For a Friend, so rather than make them all alike, I was going to wait and do the inside later, when I could look through my other stamps. Most of my SU sets were at the other house, but luckily I had moved a lot of my clear stamps down.
When you have tons of stamp sets itÂ’s hard to remember what is what. I have a notebook with a copy of each SU set, divided by Christmas, background, word sets, wheels, all the rest, another notebook with copies of all my other brand stamp sets, but guess where they wereÂ…Â….at the other house. So I looked through my clear sets, and low and behold found some others to use.
I completed eight cards for her, plus a Valentine’s card that she didn’t ask for. This is the inside of the Easter card, it took a little longer, a trip to the other house moving more stamping stuff and the blizzard of 2010. I sponged ink onto the rabbit and flower, used a black glaze pen for the eyes, and pink soufflé pen for the nose, also clear glitter pen for the flower center. Thanks for looking, and any comments. |
