Greetings to all of you, hope your year is going well, and inspirations for your cards is in top gear. Loving the designs that are being presented.
I've called this card "Going sailing", and as with every card I do I try to make it different from those I've done before. I had fun with this one, and hope you think it's a bit of fun too.
The Central image is recycled from a craft book and mounted on a scalloped card shaded with blue ink and silver brads are in opposing corners. This is then popped on to blue EF with curve shapes that have been shaded with white ink to give the illusion of curling waves, and then mounted on dark blue CS with white topstitching round the edge.
The border is an embroidery transfer mounted on card, cut out, chalked and watercoloured with Glitz added, and popped on top of image to look like rolling waves. The little right hand corners are blue ribbon with tinsel put on white long tabs and shaded with blue. The embellisments are a small white shell on the tab corners and little metallic shells, starfish and one little fish. Top corner has a blue tinsel ribbon, with a fancy white embellishment.
Thank you for looking, and I hope my "seaside" theme makes you smile.
I would like to say a belated thank you to the ladies at MMSC for the Remarkables award for MMSC38 - I didn't realise what I had been awarded one when I posted my card - so thank you ladies - it certainly made my day!

Leslie...what a treat this week. I am mesmerized by the details of the ocean waves as you side panel element. That is purely charming and creative. How appealing all your elements come together for this beguiling piece of art. Thanks for playing along with us at Midnight Madness this week.

Well, this is one mighty good looking card. It is in blue, my favourite colour you know, but the style you gave it is even prettier. Love theseashell brads and the one in the corner too. Amazing how it feels like summer right now, though it's -10 or so here in Canada.
Thank you, this sure did make me smile and Congrats on the award, well deserved.

Hi Mum - this is another gorgeous card from you. I love it that you are doing so many different styles - way to go! The side panel is stunning, I love the way you have done that and all of the embellishments...could this have been inspired by 'The Captain!?!' LOL! The white inking on the embossing is so effective too, you have a great eye for detail Mum - do you want to come and do some card making with me - wouldn't that be fun! It is great to have you playing along with the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge this week, you know we love to see your cards and would love to see you again next week! {{{hugs}}}
